Steve has spent his career advancing marine, wildlife, and conservation policy at the federal and nonprofit levels. A former John Knauss Sea Grant Fellow and Texas A&M Sea Grant researcher, he has held leadership roles with NOAA, the National Coastal Resources Institute, and the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. He now serves with AZA’s Government Affairs Department and sits on multiple national and international conservation coalitions.
